Every month I pay a flat rate of $10 and I recieve this small bag with 5 or so products in it from various companies trying to get me hooked on their products. From a business perspective, that is marketing at its finest. I recently got my bag for September and there was a full bottle of nail polish, Now this bottle retails for $9 on the website, but I only paid $10 for that plus more and no shipping costs. That to me has created value. I get to try this products for free and if I like it i can share this with my friends and family who may also like it and purchase some from their website.
Also there is a local business here in Jonesboro, that has their own makeup line. The line is called Be A Bombshell. They periodically use their products in Ipsy bags and people go to the Ipsy site and can either buy more of the products they like at a discount, and/or leave feedback about the product so the company can change it or market it better. They have recently put their Mascara in a bag and got a mountain of negative reviews. Since then they decided to stop selling the mascara and focus on their other products.
Ipsy is an amazing way to market your products. While there are always negative people who complain when they didn't get things they like, using things such as Ipsy, you can get very honest reviews on your products and see why it either is or isn't selling well. You can sign up here if you are interested or see what it is all about. I love mine and you get some awesome products, or just a cute bag! click this link: http://www.ipsy.com/r/6nlv?sid=ipsypoints&cid=email
